Photographic Lab - In-Person

An introduction to the wonderful world of the darkroom. Designed to revive the artisanal side of film developing and to provide the necessary knowledge for each student to perform the process at home.

In this course, you will learn:

  • How to manually develop any analog film using conventional and/or experimental processes.
  • The fundamentals of how film works and its unique characteristics.
  • How to identify common errors in the developing process.
  • How to set up your own home or professional darkroom.

We will explore the four types of conventional development: Black & White, Color, Cinema, and Slide; we will also explore some experimental variations that can be applied to the process. No prior knowledge is required. Students will receive theoretical material and continuous support (even after the workshop ends).

This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in the manual developing process of analog photography.

The workshop includes all the materials for each developing process.

Exposed film is not included.
